For me, a path of authenticity means following what feels completely natural & right, without too much questioning or rationalizing getting in the way. This isn’t to say that we’re not rational, but we get out of our own way by trusting our instincts and what intuitively feels right.
Most importantly we don’t allow the opinions, viewpoints, and judgements of family, friends, and society deter us from what feels right within our heart and soul. Following that right feeling is true freedom, and authenticity.
Dogs don’t question themselves when they pee on bushes. Birds don’t question themselves when they swoop onto their prey. And flowers don’t question themselves when they bloom.
Inside each of us is an inherent natural freedom longing to be experienced, like the inherent freedom of birds, animals, and plants in the wild. The difference between us and the natural world, is our minds that get in the way of our natural state of being.
